biographyRazor Rekta has been part of the scene since the early days of old skool garage/classic Dubstep, seeing the music evolve from the ground breaking sounds of the early 90's where his journey had started on the infamous Delight 103 and now more recently holding a show on the highly acclaimed Rinse FM. He has been a part of the infamous Rinse FM crew since 2006, introducing 'The Anti Social show' which has become a firm favourite amongst the Dubstep massive, hence using the success of his show's (in addition to a barrage of others) to build his fan base throughout the world. Over the years he has secured his place amongst the Dubstep Hall of Fame, with playouts at some of the most highly recognised DnB/Dubstep events which include Breakin' Science, Renegade Hardware, Dub4Life and DMZ/Subdub to name but a few, not to mention establishing his role as figurehead for the Anti Social tour which is his home. This has given him the passport to play in venues up and down the UK including Kanvas, Area and Volks. Part of the first generation of DJ's to take Dubstep across the globe Razor Rekta has played in countries: Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Estonia, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and most recently is in the process of arranging a U.S. tour which is alongside his premiership counterparts Anti Social UK. Known for his relentless mixing style and ferocity behind the decks, promoters worldwide regularly look to DJ Razor Rekta to take Dubstep dance floors to a new level of experience. This is a Dubstep DJ as you have never experienced before. Using an array of mixing styles and techniques, his meticulous selection in combination with precision-mastered chops and drops, perfect mixing, and a touch of crowd teasing tricks ensure a great reaction from everyone, turning heads wherever he plays. To date, he has performed alongside and supported many names across the dub/electronic dance spectrum from artists such as David Rodigan and Aba Shanti to Bad Company, Friction and Andy C, now more recently placed alongside Dubstep headliners such as Caspa, Digital Mystikz, Youngsta and Hatcha which is growing by the day. |
