Having grown up in a Musically expressive family, this is a DJ who has a strong and deep-rooted foundation regarding his relationship towards Sound. Using Music as a therapeutic tool from the days of his teens, Crises has been Mixing for over ten years. Starting out with the collection of UK/US Garage vinyl during the 90’s, leading to various collaborations in the years that followed; such as obtaining graveyard shifts on various pirate radio stations and co-putting together a Freestyle Mixtape called ‘Spit Mics vol1’ including; D Double E, Kano, Klashnekoff and Donae’O, which proved a huge success.

It’s fair to say he has witnessed and experienced first hand the transformation of Underground Music Scene from Garage to its now close relative Dubstep.

With a bag full of various styles within the Dubstep Sound, Crises landed himself a late night show back in 2007 on the leading Radio Station Rinse Fm, which has been running for 15years. Known as the best pirate station in UK Underground Music, front lining the birth of new genres; Grime, Dubstep and Funky, while providing a platform for emerging artists/djs/mcs who have done historic things in the Music scene, such as Skream, Dizzee Rascal, N-Type, Wiley, Plastician, Skepta and Geeneus. Rinse is now streaming live 24/7 through the Internet with a vast growing worldwide listening base.

Since 2009 Crises has been holding up a well-respected interactive lunchtime show “Sunshine ina Bag” every Monday 11am-1pm (www.rinse.fm) playing a mix of Dubstep, featuring tunes from fresh artists as well as vinyl releases - old and new. At least ‘one week per month’ regular listeners to the show would expect to hear Crises play Oldskool Garage taking them down memory lane to the 90’s and sometimes beyond. With his positive approach, random statements and tunes of Sunshine in the Bag, this is most definitely a show to check out.

For the best part of a year he has been organising a club night called ‘MindStep’, that delivers the more Mindful aspects of Dubstep to the Music Lovers while pushing fresh artists/djs.

Playing at many Clubs and Promotions across the UK, such as FWD @Plastic People / Why Not? @Scala / Rupture @Corsica Studios / Dub Files @East Village + Vagabondz, Pack Dubs and Bass Camp to name a few, Crises is no stranger to engaging the crowd. He has been described as a “Rising star, skilful on the wheels” who is “sure to play with your Body, Soul and Mind-Step” – Gramaphone

With a wide range of Mixing styles from the ‘natural blend’ to the ‘fine cut’ and ‘hard dropped b-liners’, Crises’ versatility shines through in every session, taking the listener on a Journey through sound and artistic pleasure, whether it be on air or in a club.

Although Crises has not made any tunes of his own yet, he has still managed to share the bill with the likes of Youngsta / The Others / Anti Social / Distance / Breakage / Luke Envoy / Brackles / Sukh Knight / Hatcha / David Rodigan / Channel One / King Tubby’s / Congo Natty / Terrafonix / Fused Forces / JSD / Syte, also appearing on GetDarkerTV (Episodes: ?007 / ‘MindStep take over’ ?021 / ?028).
